CAMPS BAY BEACH RUN | MAY 2019
Well apart from the one gust of wind that totally destroyed the Kia Gazebo – it was a pretty nice day on the beach for the Camps Bay Beach Run. The participants headed over to Clifton 4th and back on 2 of the most iconic beaches in Cape Town.
Every person finishing with some litter picked up along the way…earned them their medal, a reusable metal straw.
Thank you to everyone for their support!
A massive high five to Pura Soda for the refreshments at the end.

Change needs to happen
Conversations need to take place
Industry must wake up as must our government. Local and national people need to take a stand, education must take place. Schools. Companies. Organisations.
But its slowly happening
Hopefully
#do1thing #recycle #reduce what you buy. #rethink your day to day consumer habits. #redesign materials to make them more environmentally friendly.
Theres no plan (or planet) B…This is it.
KALK BAY - ST JAMES TRAIN TRACK CLEANUP | FEB 2019
Rain rain and more rain but a more passionate and hardcore group of people…you will not find.
Im like – coffee, croissant and chat however these guys were like…no ways bru – we are cleaning. Lets go…..and go we did.
We filled 32 bags of litter between the Kalk Bay and St James train stations. What impressed me the most was how much the group loves 2 things:
1) Their community
and
2) Doing something to give back to their community.
We all need to at least do one thing, whether its recycling, joining a cleanup, helping out wherever you can…everyone has the potential in them to make a difference.
To all the peeps from the deep South – hats off to you guys for doing just that.
Thank you to Prasa for the security and keeping us all safe and Petco for the bags, gloves and funky bibs.
