There’s a Swim…and a Run…enter one or both

Let’s start with the run

On one of Cape Town’s most iconic beaches

#BeautifulRaces in #BeautifulPlaces.

This race is about you. Your family. The perfect outing. A gorgeous venue. #SupportingLocal. Its a Road trip. With friends. Training buddies. It’s celebrating your local training ground. Kicking ass. Pushing yourself.

It also has…

A great cause…every event helps grow beach cleanups in Cape Town as well as kids environmental education programs.

Venue: Hout Bay Main Beach. Next to Mariners Wharf

Meet on the beach at Mariners Wharf

Start time:

12km run starts at 8am

3km starts at 9am

Route description:

The 3km is 100% beach run. Head out towards Chappies. To the end of the beach and back.

The 12km takes you along the beach then up to the top of chappies. 6km. And back

Entry fee…All events R200. Max 100 participants.

This includes a T shirt, juice, water or energy drinks and medal to all finishers.

Is it going to be tough?

Oh hell yes…Was anything EVER worth doing, ever easy?

Now for the Swim

Distances:

The short – 250m swim

The sprint – 750m swim

The max – 1500m swim

Start time…all distances start at 11am

Route description:

There will be lifeguards on duty.

Easy triangular swim route VERY close to shore along the bay.

Entry fee…All events R200. Max 100 participants.

This includes a T shirt, juice, water or energy drinks and medal to all finishers.

Safety is always a #1 priority. In water safety crew on the day.

Or combine the 2…Run first…then swim. Same price

Decide between the 12km run and then head straight into the water for whichever distance you prefer

Or

3km Run and then head into the water for whichever distance you prefer.

So my entry fee – what is that been used for?

We want to grow our beach cleanups leading into the end of the year. And give out 50 000 plastic bags to drive kids environmental programs. Education is key. And we need to focus on our youth.

So what happens if the weather is kak or conditions not favourable. We will make a call on the morning with the safety crew.

Unfortunately (STRICTLY) no refunds will be given.

We can issue a credit for a future race but the weather is kinda outta our control.

When doing your payment – you can either pop a Payfast online payment or do an EFT to:
