Whats the “Double”…the night run on the Friday and the day run on the Saturday
Medal to all finishers
All beach runs are planned around low tide – so you are running on hard compact beach sand
Is it tough? Was anything EVER worth doing, ever easy?
Can you run with shoes or barefoot? 100% your decision. Most people run with tekkies but loads run barefoot.
Our slogan – no shoes, no shirt, no problem…
ON THE DAY ENTRIES are limited to 100 people and cost R150 – this includes a T shirt.
The route – starts and the iconic Dolphin Beach Hotel and heads SOUTH towards Sunset Beach and back.
Its an out and back run – so 360 degree (spectacular views). Start and finish at the same point.
There will be water along the route but you will need to run with a bottle or camelback/hydration pack as we will NOT have cups or sachets on the route.
The route is not really pram “push-able
Are dogs welcome – of course – but on a leash! Bring some water along for Fido and a poo bag…if he poops – you scoops.
So my entry fee – what is that been used for?
All funds go towards 5 full bursaries for ladies in Joe Slovo Park.
These are ladies that head up our Beautiful Future program where we offer extra homework classes and sporting programs to 75 kids. These ladies have been working on this project for 2 years and we feel that we would like to give back to them by offering them the opportunity to go and study anything of their choice. Your entry fees go towards paying for a bursary for them to go and study and pursue their dreams.
We will also be raising funds to try and help employ or assist the gentleman who was spotted collecting litter in Bantry Bay
