Venue: Silwerstroomstrand Blue Flag Beach

Entry fee…R250 for all distances. Free T shirt and 2 x buffs to all participants

All beach runs are planned around low tide – so you are running on hard compact beach sand
Is it tough? Was anything EVER worth doing, ever easy?
Can you run with shoes or barefoot? 100% your decision. Most people run with tekkies but loads run barefoot.

ON THE DAY ENTRIES are limited to 100 people and cost R350 – this includes a T shirt.
The route – starts at Silwerstroomstrand – the most beautiful beach (possibly in the world).
Its an out and back run – so 360 degree (spectacular views). Start and finish at the same point.
There will be water along the route but you will need to run with a bottle or camelback/hydration pack as we will NOT have cups or sachets on the route.
The route is pram “push-able” but you will more than likely need a pram with the bigger wheels.
Are dogs welcome – as much as we love our 4 legged friends – unfortunately dogs are NOT allowed (at all/ever) at Silwerstroomstrand. Due to it having the “Blue Flag” Beach – no pooches allowed. Don’t even try! We want you there – but this is the “mean us” coming out – you will be turned away at the gate – so don’t even chance it. If you sneak Roofi in the back of your SUV – our parking marshal will flog you and pack Roofs back into your luxury SUV and send you packing. Plus we will ban you from ever going to the beach again…and Roofi will land up biting your fancy leather couch. So leave dogs at home for this event PLEASE #smiley face.
So my entry fee – what is that been used for?
All funds go towards 5 full bursaries for ladies in Joe Slovo Park.
These are ladies that head up our Beautiful Future program where we offer extra homework classes and sporting programs to 75 kids. These ladies have been working on this project for 2 years and we feel that we would like to give back to them by offering them the opportunity to go and study anything of their choice. Your entry fees go towards paying for a bursary for them to go and study and pursue their dreams.

Unfortunately for this event we will not be offering any refunds.
Should the weather rain foul, you will be issued with a credit to take part in a future beach run.
