Who heads this cleanup up?
Simon Good. Carpenter, family man, makes a mean boerewors roll, shaping a wooden surfboard and builds the odd kitchen cupboard now and then. Oh and he loves the beach……
Where do they meet?
At Fish Hoek Beach. At the restaurants on the beach.
How do you get there?
M3 or M5 South. Turn right. Over Ou Kaapse Weg or along the coastal road. Into Fish Hoek and left before the big traffic circle. The train also stops right there.
9am…those okes are early risers
Things to do afterwards?
Awesome little restaurants right there with a play area for kids. Walk to Glencairn or Kalk Bay Swim in the Sea in the shark protected net area Head to Noordhoek or Kommiekie. Take a trip to the lighthouse or Cape Point
Best thing about Fish Hoek Beach Cleanup?
Chatting to Simon and listening to his love for life and the environment. And going for a stroll on the beach afterwards and watching the old age peeps boogy board…like 80 in the shade and still feeding the stoke!
